Greatest articles I've never read (2010-2020)

I’m looking forward to reading this stuff - someday!

  1. The quitting economy: How work changed to make us all passionate quitters

Quit on this one pretty much right away.

  2. Pixels are expensive

Product of a misguided bout of career-focused self-improvement. Don’t worry, I’ve fully recovered.

  3. Man fed up with nagging wife hides in forest for 10 years

The title’s got it all. Fun to send to people. Useful for breaking silences in Whatsapp groups. I hope there isn’t a twist!

  4. Bookbinding: A tutorial

Waaaay too ambitious. Flattered my interest in non-digital hobbies. I like to think I’ll get into bookbinding next year.

  5. Uncanny Valley

I hear it’s a book now. Will buy that and stick it in a dusty bookshelf somewhere.

  6. Books I had to read to develop a game engine

    See #2.

  7. Q & A with Diana Wynne Jones

Favorite author as a young adult. Terrified I might learn something about her that will mar that memory. Just need someone to screen it and let me know if it’s ok to read.

  8. Exploring the Future Beyond Cyberpunk’s Neon and Noir

Wasn’t reading much anymore and thought that might be down to choice of book. Found this list thinking it might point me to something interesting. Can’t tell you much about it. Looking forward to playing Cyberpunk 2077 though!

  9. The problem of mindfulness

Too busy to be practicing mindfulness. How could I find the time to read something like this?

  10. George Lucas’s Force

Thanks to Pinboard I know this article used to be titled: “Why George Lucas Is the Greatest Artist of Our Time”. The Chronicle of Higher Education are cowards!

Always looking for more args that comfort my irrationl love of these movies.
